Lithuanian Accordionists Associations’ Youth sections’ project THE WINDS OF CHANGE

     The 3rd of May is the day when the LAA Youth section is organizing the second meeting in Šiauliai. We invite every young accordionist to join our event and pursue our new project THE WINDS OF CHANGE.
     We dedicate this event for the World Accordion Day which is officially mentioned on the 6th of May as the anniversary of the day the accordion was patented in 1829 by Cyrill Demian.
     After the successful meeting in Klaipėda we continue our project mission in Šiauliai, where we hope to gather for a traditional Youth sections’ conference-forum and evening gala concert.
     During the conference-forum we are planning to have a live video link with the famous French accordion pedagogue Frederic Deschamps and his students. Discussing, sharing musical greetings and even short master classes will give a good chance for students from both countries to communicate.
     After the live video link we’ll have our discussion about the main existing problems and their solutions. We are not doing this in a strict or official way, the main idea is everyone’s participation and usefully spent time.
     The conference-forum will take part in one of the best conference halls in the country in Šiauliai University.
     All the accordionists taking part in the event, all our guests and citizens will be invited to the gala concert "Accordion brigdes" in Šiauliai Centre of Culture where our young and perspective accordion players will give a concert with already well known accordion performers and ensembles from Lithuania.
